I started building websites for people who needed something that worked more than they needed something beautiful — small businesses, local shops, a jeweller whose prices were three months out of date because updating them meant phoning someone. That last one taught me what most of this job actually is.
Twelve years later the pattern has not changed much. Businesses come to me with a site that is slow, unrankable and impossible to edit, or with a process running on four spreadsheets and a WhatsApp group. The work is turning both of those into something fast, maintainable and owned by the client rather than by their developer.
That has meant 700+ websites, 50+ WordPress plugins, a lot of WooCommerce stores where the checkout was quietly losing money, and increasingly custom applications in Laravel and Next.js where an off-the-shelf tool genuinely does not fit. More recently, AI features that do real work rather than demo well.
What has not changed is the working style. You talk to the person doing the work. I tell you when your idea is more expensive than it is worth. Nothing goes straight onto production. And the code I hand over is code you could give to someone else without apologising for it.

What do you actually specialise in?
WordPress and WooCommerce most deeply — custom themes, plugins, stores, performance and security. Then custom applications in Laravel and Next.js, then ecommerce strategy and AI integrations. Within those I am genuinely fast because I have done the work many times. Outside them I will tell you rather than learn on your budget.
Do you work alone or with a team?
You talk to me and I do the work. For larger builds I bring in trusted specialists — a designer, a second developer — and I remain accountable for everything delivered. No account managers and no relay.
What timezone do you work in?
IST (UTC+5:30), which overlaps comfortably with Europe, the Gulf, Asia and Australia, and covers US mornings. In practice this has never been a problem for clients in any of those regions.
How do you handle credentials and access?
I ask for the minimum access needed, prefer staging over production, and use your own credential-sharing process where you have one. Access is removed at the end of an engagement, and I never retain customer or card data.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, routinely. Send yours and I will sign it, or I can provide a straightforward mutual one.
What kind of work do you turn down?
Anything I cannot do well, anything where the budget clearly will not reach the outcome, and anything where the honest answer is that an off-the-shelf tool already solves it. Saying so early costs me a project and saves us both a bad one.
