When money comes back

Refund Policy

A refund policy should be readable before you pay, not discovered afterwards. This explains exactly when you get money back, when you do not, and how to raise it.

Last updated: 1 August 2026

The principle

You should not pay for work you did not receive, and I should not absorb the cost of work you did receive and then changed your mind about. Everything below follows from that.

If you are unhappy, tell me before asking for a refund. Most dissatisfaction is a fixable misunderstanding, and I would rather fix the work than return the money and leave you with nothing.

Projects

Before work starts, the deposit is fully refundable. Once work is underway, you are refunded anything paid beyond the value of work completed and in progress.

If I fail to deliver what was agreed and cannot put it right, you get a full refund of the affected work. If the delivered work matches the agreed scope, a change of mind is not grounds for a refund — though I will always try to find a fair resolution.

Quick fixes

If I cannot fix the problem, you do not pay. That is the whole promise, and it is why diagnosis comes before the price is confirmed.

Every fix carries a 14-day correction guarantee: if the same problem returns within 14 days, I correct it at no charge. It covers the issue I fixed, not new unrelated problems.

Products, modules and templates

Because software is delivered as source code that cannot be un-received, refunds on modules and templates are available within 14 days only where the product does not work as described and I cannot make it work in your environment.

Refunds are not available where it simply is not what you hoped for, or where it conflicts with heavily customised code. This is exactly why I offer a demo call before purchase — please use it.

Retainers

Retainers can be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the paid cycle. Part-used cycles are not refunded, because the bandwidth was reserved for you and turned away from others.

If I fail to deliver the agreed availability during a cycle, I will refund or credit that cycle proportionally. If I need to end a retainer, you get a pro-rata refund for the unused portion.

How to request a refund

Email hello@nadeemdev.com with your invoice reference and what went wrong. You will get a reply within 3 working days, and a decision within 7.

Approved refunds go back via the original payment method within 10 working days. Card and bank timings are outside my control after that point.

Chargebacks

Please talk to me before raising a chargeback. A chargeback on work that was delivered as agreed will be contested with the evidence, and it costs us both time that a conversation would not.

Not legal advice. These documents are written to be clear and fair, and they are not a substitute for a solicitor. Have them reviewed before relying on them commercially — particularly the liability and jurisdiction clauses.
