When you need someone now

White screen, plugin conflict, checkout failing, form not sending, site down after an update. WordPress problems tend to arrive at inconvenient times and to look more alarming than they are.

Most are diagnosable in under an hour by someone who knows where to look — error logs, recent changes, and the handful of failure modes that account for the majority of incidents.

I take on both emergencies and the ordinary work: the change you do not want to risk yourself, the feature that needs adding, the thing that has been broken so long you stopped noticing.

What I help with

WordPress support work.

Site down / white screen

Fatal errors traced through logs and resolved, rather than fixed by disabling things at random.

Plugin & theme conflicts

The conflict isolated properly and resolved without disabling functionality you need.

WooCommerce issues

Failing checkout, payment problems, stock or tax errors — every failed order is lost revenue.

Email & form problems

Forms not sending or mail landing in spam — authentication and delivery fixed properly.

Sudden slowdowns

Whatever changed, found — a plugin, a query, an external script, or upstream resource limits.

Changes & small features

The edits and additions you would rather have done properly than attempt on a live site.

The detail that matters

How I approach it.

01

Read the log before touching anything

The instinct during an outage is to start disabling plugins. That sometimes works and it destroys the evidence, so you never learn what happened and it recurs. Enabling error logging and reading it usually identifies the exact file and line within minutes.

02

What changed most recently?

The overwhelming majority of sudden WordPress problems follow a change: an update, a new plugin, an edit, a host migration. Establishing the timeline first narrows the search dramatically before any deep investigation is needed.

03

Fix the cause, not the symptom

Disabling the plugin that throws the error stops the error. It also removes whatever that plugin was doing, and the underlying conflict is still there waiting. Where a proper fix is achievable, that is what I do — and where a workaround is genuinely the right call, I say so explicitly.

How we work together

The process.

1

Listen

A 30-minute call to understand the problem behind the brief. The fix is often not what you first ask for.

2

Quote

A real number tied to a real scope — never a copy-paste price list. Sent within 24 hours.

3

Build

I work in staging, in your repo, with commits you can audit. I send a daily update so you are never wondering.

4

Deliver

Smoke test together, document, deploy. Then I stick around to catch the edge cases.

What you get with me.

  • Diagnosis before changes, with the cause explained
  • A staging copy for anything risky
  • Written summary of what was wrong and what was done
  • Advice on preventing a recurrence
  • No unnecessary upselling on an emergency

Questions, answered.

How fast can you help in an emergency?

Usually within a couple of hours, often sooner. Send the symptoms and access details and I will tell you straight away whether I can start immediately.

Do you charge per hour or per fix?

Common issues have fixed prices — see Quick Fixes. Anything unusual gets a quote after a short look, so you know the number before work starts.

Can you work with my hosting company?

Yes, and sometimes that is necessary — resource limits, server configuration and mail relays are on their side. I will handle that conversation with the specific technical detail they need.

What if you cannot fix it?

I tell you, along with what I found and who is better placed to help. If the cause is on the host's side or in third-party software, the honest answer is more useful than an expensive workaround.

Need this built?.

Tell me what you need. I send a real quote based on your specific project — never a fixed price for a problem I have not heard.
