What usually causes it.
In roughly the order I check them. Knowing the likely causes is what makes a fix fast rather than exploratory.
Incomplete file transfer
The uploads directory partially copied, or transferred without hidden files. Very common with large media libraries.
DNS not fully propagated or split
Some records updated and others not, so different visitors reach different servers. This produces the confusing 'it works for me' situation.
Mail configuration not carried over
SPF and DKIM still authorising the old server, so site mail starts failing silently after the move.
URLs not rewritten in the database
Absolute URLs pointing at the old domain or old paths remain in post content and options, so assets and links break.

Should you just start the migration over?
