The challenge.

Functional medicine carries two objections before anyone reads a word of the offer: is this real medicine, and will insurance cover it. A site that leads with wellness language loses the sceptical visitor, who is also the one most worth converting.

What I did.

  1. 1

Led with clinical credibility — board-certified clinicians and advanced lab testing — rather than wellness vocabulary, so the medical claim is made before the lifestyle one.

  2. 2

Put the five recurring objections into a persistent trust strip: insurance accepted, board-certified clinicians, advanced lab testing, nationwide telehealth, HSA/FSA eligible.

  3. 3

Gave visitors two entry points matched to readiness — 'Verify insurance' for people close to committing, 'Start with labs' for people who want evidence first.

  4. 4

Framed the whole proposition around a single line that names the frustration: a doctor that asks why, not just what.

What was built.

  • Insurance verification flow as a primary CTA
  • Lab-first entry path for undecided visitors
  • Programme comparison page
  • Clinician credentials surfaced above the fold
  • Supplements store and member login
  • HSA/FSA eligibility messaging throughout
